We had the loveliest day at the Ulster American Folk Park today. The children really stepped back in time and got a true sense of what life was like years ago, from sitting in an old-fashioned classroom, to hearing the stories of those who travelled on a “coffin” ship, and exploring the wild frontier. They threw themselves into every part of the visit with such enthusiasm and curiosity, and they especially enjoyed the workshop, where they made beautiful lavender pouches to take home. Lots of smiles, great learning, and a wonderful day all round. To top it all off the children represented our school superbly throughout. Well done boys and girls 💜
