Year 3’s Mini Beast Hunt on Happy Hill. 🦋🐝🐞🦟🦗🪲🪳🐜🪰

23rd Apr 2026

Year 3 had an amazing time today on a mini beast hunt on Happy Hill! Armed with magnifying glasses and plenty of enthusiasm, the children set off to discover the tiny creatures living in the grass, under logs and pots, and in the trees.

The children explored the natural environment, carefully searching for insects, spiders, and other mini beasts. Using their magnifying glasses, they got a closer look at the fascinating details of each creature they found. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience, as the children identified various minibeasts and learned about their habitats and behaviours.

The hunt was not only a great way to celebrate the wonders of nature but also a fun opportunity for teamwork and discovery.
