We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day at Holy Family! The whole school was buzzing with excitement as children immersed themselves in the magic of books and reading.
Key Stage 2 pupils impressed us all with their amazing costumes, coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters. From wizards to detectives, animals to adventurers - it was a colourful and creative parade of literary inspiration! They also took part in a special Adobe Express lesson, where they used their digital skills to design character profiles and book covers.
Meanwhile, our Nursery, Foundation Stage, and Key Stage 1 children got cosy in their pyjamas for a bedtime stories theme. It was a lovely, relaxed way to celebrate the joy of reading, complete with cuddly toys and lots of storytelling fun.
Throughout the day, a book swap gave everyone the chance to discover new stories to enjoy at home, and classrooms were full of World Book Day activities - from book-themed crafts and quizzes to buddy reading sessions and story writing.
