Today Year 3 explored quarters in a delicious way! We toasted slices of bread, spread them with butter, and then carefully cut our toast into four equal parts.
Through our yummy investigation, we discovered that when something is divided into four equal pieces, each piece is called a quarter. We talked about how four quarters make one whole, and of course we enjoyed eating our maths afterwards!
