Our Year 7 pupils recently took part in the Sport 4 Peace Programme, a collaborative initiative delivered by Ulster Rugby, the Irish Football Association and Ulster GAA.
Throughout the programme, pupils had the opportunity to experience a range of sporting activities, learning new skills and working together in a fun and supportive environment. The programme concluded with a special celebration event at Omagh Leisure Complex, where they joined our Shared Education partner, Omagh County Primary School, and pupils from other local schools.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity for children to enjoy sport, strengthen friendships and meet new people. Pupils were also delighted to spend time with members of the PSNI, who attended the event and engaged with the children throughout the day.
As an added bonus, our school was presented with new sports equipment, which will be a valuable resource for future PE lessons and sporting activities.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the coaches, organisers and partners whose hard work and commitment made this experience possible. It was a rewarding and enjoyable programme that our pupils will remember for a long time.
