Year 1 enjoyed a lively winter adventure at Forest School, learning all about some of the UK’s favourite garden birds, including the blackbird, robin, blue tit, starling and wren. The children took part in a fun “birds and worms” game to explore how tricky it can be for birds to find food during the colder months, sparking lots of curiosity and conversation. They finished the session by making their own bird feeders to help support local wildlife, proudly hanging them around the trees outside their classrooms to give our feathered friends a helping hand.
