Our Year 1boys and girls were shocked to discover Giant footprints 👣 in our classroom today! After close inspection they discovered that the footprints were so long that they couldn’t belong to any of the boys and girls or even the teachers! It was decided that the Giant must have jumped down the Beanstalk while we were outside at break time! Luckily, he’d disappeared again before we returned! (Orla bravely checked the playroom too to make sure he wasn’t hiding there!) The boys and girls had great fun measuring with the footprints to find things around the classroom that were longer and shorter than them. Afterwards they worked with a partner to measure the length of their own feet using cubes! What a super way to develop our measuring skills!
