Easter Fun in Reception🐣

2nd Apr 2026

The children have enjoyed lots of Easter fun as part of their learning this term. We read the story We’re Going on an Egg Hunt before exploring outdoors and going on our very own exciting egg hunt.

As part of our topic work, the children learned all about the life cycle of a chick through our special “Grow an Egg to Hatch a Chick” adoption centre. They carefully completed checklists, helped look after the egg in the incubator, and watched in excitement as it grew and hatched into a fluffy chick.

To continue our chick-themed fun, the children made delicious chocolate nests for the chicks and took great care of them throughout the term. As a special surprise, the chicks even laid a little egg for each of the children!

We also enjoyed decorating Easter eggs, creating colourful Easter decorations with puffy paint, and taking part in Easter colouring activities. It has been a wonderful term full of Easter learning and fun for everyone!

Happy Easter 🐣
