Holy Family’s runners recently competed in the annual cross country event in Our Lady of Lourdes P.S in Greencastle.

On a warm, sunny day, the children performed brilliantly on a challenging course with a steep incline. With participants from P4, P5, P6, and P7 the future of cross country at Holy Family looks very promising.

Individually, Enda McGarvey secured 3rd place, Sam Motherwell finished 2nd, and Kyra Mimnagh took 1st. There were also many impressive performances, with several pupils achieving top-10 finishes in their respective age groups.

Our 2x2 mixed relay team claimed 1st place in an exciting race, demonstrating excellent teamwork through smooth baton exchanges and well-paced running.

The P7 boys also achieved outstanding success, winning the overall best boys’ team award based on the combined times of their top four finishers.

Overall a great day out for Holy Family PS🟪
