Year 1 had a fantastic time at Forest School exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children investigated measurement by finding natural objects that were taller and shorter than themselves, then worked together in teams to build their own “beanstalks” using logs, sticks, leaves and other woodland materials. They measured the height of each beanstalk and compared which were the tallest and shortest. It was a brilliant mix of teamwork, creativity; problem solving and outdoor fun.
