π Year 3 Measure Madness! π
Over the past few weeks, the brilliant boys and girls in Year 3 have been diving into the wonderful world of measures!
We started our journey with some giant-sized fun, using non-standard units to investigate everyday items from Jim and the Beanstalk β who knew measuring with string, cubes and even hand spans could be so exciting?
Next, we took our learning outdoors! Armed with metre sticks, the children explored the playground, hunting for objects that were longer than, shorter than, or exactly a metre. It was amazing to see their measuring skills in action under the sunshine!
Finally, we sharpened our rulers and got stuck into measuring in centimetres. The children did a fantastic job learning how to use a ruler accurately.
Itβs been a measure-tastic adventure, and we canβt wait to see what weβll explore next! ππππ
