What a fantastic day for our boys at the Killen PS World Cup tournament held at Castlederg High School.
Representing The Netherlands, Holy Family were drawn in Group A alongside: 🇧🇷 St Mary’s A (Brazil) 🇺🇸 Edwards C (USA) 🇪🇬 Gortin (Egypt) 🇧🇪 Langfield (Belgium)
The boys produced a series of excellent performances throughout the group stage, recording 2 wins, 1 draw and just 1 narrow defeat. Their teamwork, determination and positive attitude were evident in every match.
After a very close group campaign, goal difference saw Holy Family progress into the World Cup Second Tier competition. The boys continued to compete brilliantly and were unlucky to be narrowly defeated 2–1 by Edwards PS B (Scotland) after another hard-fought game.
Every player represented Holy Family with pride, showing great sportsmanship, resilience and effort throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of how they performed.👏 A huge well done to all the boys and thank you to Killen Primary School for organising another excellent tournament. 👏
