Over the last few weeks, Year 1 have loved learning all about the season of Autumn. We’ve been busy reading Autumn themed stories, developing Autumnal vocabulary and creating poems. We enjoyed matching and sorting Autumn treasures like leaves, pinecones and acorns and used them to make sets, and practise counting skills. We got creative by printing Autumn trees, making our own LeafMan characters and using dough to make spiky hedgehogs. 🦔 Using our senses, we we on an Autumn Scavenger hunt to spot signs of the Season all around us - from colourful leaves and berries to hidden mushrooms.🍄🟫 It’s been a wonderful start to the year, full of exploring, creating and learning together.
