The children were challenged to build a bridge strong enough for a pumpkin to sit on.
They looked at bridges from around the world, their features, materials used to construct them and their purposes. In teams they selected wooden blocks, planks and duplo to build their structures.
They worked together, planning, sharing ideas, testing their bridges and making modifications.
